Mothers and Children Support International (MCSI) is a non-profit organization that aims to provide education and health services in rural Uganda. We focus our attention on orphans, mothers, and children who come from unfortunate circumstances. We believe that the power to help, reach, and support is the fundamental key that opens the door to opportunity. The children are our future leaders. Yet, many of our children are struck with treatable diseases, such as Malaria, while others do not have the resources for a proper education. MCSI bridges unfortunate mothers and children to free, accessible health care and education opportunities.

what we do

Sponsor Education

The need for education is a critical problem in Agwata village. Many parents do not have the means to take their children to school, resulting to many pregnant teens and illiterate children. MCSI has enabled financial support for up to 30 students. Many have gone far with their studies, while some still need your help.

Orphan Support

MCSI began its first orphanage in 2002, providing shelter, food, and clothing for abandoned children. Many children in Northern Uganda lost parents due to a result of civil war and political conflict by Lord's Resistant Army. This caused a displacement of health centers, schools, and homes leaving many people vulnerable. MCSI has supported up to 200 orphans since 2002 to present day.

Hellen Apio President of MCSI-

"I lived through the adversities in my village with a single mother raising 5 children. I experienced sickness and poverty daily. I wanted the same opportunities I was given when I moved to America for the people in my village."
